I am totally secular and a firm believer of 'One God,Many Names' theory.Still I Want to Pen Down A Few Thoughts About Lord Shri Krishna,The Hindu Diety Who Attracts Me The Most For Many Reasons,Whatsoever.

Considered to be one of the most endeared human incarnations of Lord Vishnu,Krishna Was Born More than 5000 years ago in Mathura city on the eighth day[Ashtami ]of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhaadra in the Hindu calendar,and on the 'Rohini' nakshatram (star). [Hmm..Whoever Born In That Star, I Consider Them Lucky!!]

Every Year This Day Is Celebrated As Krishna Janmashtami All Over India.Janmashtami is celebrated for over two days as “Rohini” nakshatra and Ashtami may not fall on the same day. The first day known as Krishnashtami and the second day is known as Kalashtami.

In Karnataka,It is celebrated in grandeur at The ISKON Temple and The Udupi Shri Krishna Temple.

But,Janmashtami Is Not What I Intend To Describe.This Is Just A Humble Effort To Try To See Lord Krishna From My Own Spiritual Point Of View.

The First Thing That Rings The Bell In Head About Lord Krishna Is That He Is Dark.Wonder Why Being A God He Chose To Be Born Dark Instead Of Fair? Maybe It's His Way Of Saying BEING DARK IS FAIR.Its Not A Thing To Be Ashamed Of.I Always Wonder,Krishna Being Dark Has Something To Do With The Fact That Black Is an Absorbative Color..Or Think Of Black Holes.It Is Said That Even Light Cant Escape Them.My Rational Mind Says Krishna Wants To Signify That Nothing Can Escape Him In The World.

As Is Seen In Pictures,Vishnu Resides In An Ocean On The Adishehsa As His Bed.Our Hearts Are Like The Ocean Of Milk,It Is Our Duty To Make Way For Vishnu Or Krishna To Reside In It.

Ever Wondered What Does Krishna's Love For Butter Signify?Butter Is Churned Out Of The Curd Made From Milk.Likewise Feelings Of Bhakti [Devotion] And Love For God Is Churned Out Of The Heart And Conscience Which Is Like An Oean Of Milk.Metophorically These Feelings Are The Butter Which Krishna Loves And Wants To Steal Away From Us.

Krishna Is The One Who Showed That 'A Mother Is A Mother,Be It Is One Who Gave Birth Or One Who Took Care Of.There Is No Distinguishing Between Them'.

We Always See Radha And Krishna Together Being Worshipped.Rarely We See his Wives Besides Him.Radha and Krishna Are Embodiment Of True And Unconditional Love.On A Less Serious Note,They Are The True Example Of The Saying That In Most Cases First Love Is Not A Success.Dont We See So Many Radha Krishnas In Real Life.People Married To Different People Mulling Over Their First Love.When God Himselves Couldn't Get His First Love,How Can We Mortals Expect It?

Also,The Miracles That He Did In His Early Ages Tells Us That When The Situation Comes,It Doesnt Matter Whether A Person Is Big Or Small.Anybody Can Achieve Anything.Because,Though Krishna Was Impersonation Of Vishnu,For The World He Was A Mere Mortal Till His Importance Was Known.

Naraayano naama naro naraanaam, prasiddha chowrah kathitha prithivyaam

aneka janmaarjita papa sanchayam harati arishtaan smrita maatramEva

Naarayana[The God] is the most popular thief in the world.He steals away the mounds of paapa[bad karma] that we have accumulated since many janmas[lives],just by remembering him.
